Mrs. Mamie L. Oppy, 73, of 1202 W. Main St., a native of Liberty Chapel neighborhood and widow of Ernest Ray Oppy, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient 12 days. She was a member of Liberty Chapel Church. A daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Baldwin Harshbarger, she was born Oct. 20, 1897. She married Mr. Oppy on Dec. 4, 1917. He died Aug. 11, 1967. Survivors include a son, Walter R. Oppy of Rt. 3; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Lipp of Crawfordsville, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Ernest Larew, Kathy Lipp and Steven Oppy. A brother, Walter, preceded Mrs. Oppy in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. John Carter will officiate, with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday.--waw
