ORNBAUM, Ben L.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, August 10 - Ben L. Ornbaum, a prominent resident of this city, died this morning after an illness of seven months.  He had been affected with the infirmities of old age for several years.  He was born in Rockbridge county, Virginia, September 13, 1829, and his parents removed to this city in 1835.  His trade was harness making.  With the exception of four years he had resided in this city since 1835.  His first wife died in 1877 and four of their five children survive - Harley W. and Otis, of this city, Miss Clara and Mrs. Martha Arthur, of Pasadena, Cal.  He was married a second time to Emma Kenz, of Thorntown, and they had one son, Ben.  Mr. Ornbaum was a member of the Methodist Church and the funeral will be on Tuesday afternoon at the residence.- thanks so much to Kim H
