VEEDERSBURG – Fred M. Osborn, 76, a native of Veedersburg, died Monday in his Danville, Ill., home. He was born May 23, 1886, and his parents were John L. and Olive Beath Osborn. On Jan. 27, 1941, he married Ruth King. He was educated in Veedersburg schools and was associated with his father in the Veedersburg Ford Agency. He later was a lineman for the Veedersburg Telephone Co. For the last five years he worked in the C&EI Railroad shops in Danville, Ill. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Veedersburg. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Furr and Mrs. Naomi Slusser of Veedersburg, and two brothers, Lawrence Osborn and Richard Osborn of Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Pate Funeral Home in Danville, Ill., with burial in Danville. -- typed by Walt W

Danville, Ill. -- Fred M. Osborn, age 77, of 613 Dearborn St., died unexpectedly at 9:30 a. m. Monday, Jan. 14, at an out-of-town hospital. Born May 23, 1886, at Veedersburg, he was a son of John L. and Olive Death Osborn. His schooling was at Veedersburg. He had resided in Danville since 1941. He and his father operated the Ford auto agency in Veedersburg for several years. He was employed for five years at the C&EI Shops. Mr. Osborn was married Jan. 27, 1941, at Paris to Ruth S. King who survives. He was a life member of the Veedersburg Christian Church. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Lela O. Furr and Mrs. Naomi O. Slusser, both of Veedersburg, and two brothers, Lawrence L. and J. Richard, both of Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services were held this afternoon, Jan. 16, at the Pape Memorial Home. The Rev. J. S.
