COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) --- Herschel Marquess Osborn, 68, died at his home at 721 7th St., Covington, at 5 a. m. Thursday (April 18, 1963) of a heart condition. Born Oct. 9, 1894, east of Covington he was a son of Edward W. and Minnie Lou Coffing Osborn. He was a life resident of the Covington area and a retired farmer. He operated the John Deere implement store at Mellott from 1937 until 1945. He was married March 16, 1915, to Alvena Burnison who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lou Soey of Vandalia, Mo., and Mrs. Ona Lee Fowler of Crawfordsville; a son, Lowell M. of Covington Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Ward of Covington, and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Mr. Osborn was a member of the Covington First Baptist Church. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends will be received after 3 p. m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. EST Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Covington with the Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
