Oswalt - Eliza Masterson

Mrs. Eliza Jane Oswalt, 77, died Saturday afternoon at Rockville at the home of her son, John Oswalt, and funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Baptist Church at Waynetown; burial in Waynetown cemetery.  Mrs. Oswalt’s death was due to a cerebral  hemorrhage. She formerly lived at New Market.  Born near Darlington, June 19, 1851, Mrs. Oswalt was a daughter of John and Dorcas Masterson. Her marriage to John Oswalt took place in 1872.  Mrs. Oswalt was a member of the United Brethren Church.  Three sons survive: John Oswalt, at whose home she died; Ray Oswalt near Romney and Verne Oswalt, near Crawfordsville.  There also are 13 grandchildren, a half-brother and a half-sister.
