Louis C. Otterman, of Ladoga, died Wednesday of cerebral spinal meningitis, aged 45 years.

Lewis C. Otterman died after a severe sickness of two weeks with cerebra meningitis. Mr. Otterman was born in Clark Township, this county, June 20, 1845, aged 45 years, 11 months and eight days. He joined the Christian Church in his seventeenth year and remained steadfast to his confession until his death which occurred at this residence on Wednesday, the 28th, at one o’clock p.m. The funeral services were held at the house by Elder Krutsinger, of Ellettsville, Ind. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Detective Company, of which he was an honored member. He was married to Ruhama Ann McKinght September 30, 1874, of which union three sons were born. He leaves a wife, three boys and a host of friends to mourn his loss.

Louis Otterman, aged nearly eighty years, died Sunday at his home near Ladoga. He was one of the very first settlers in that region and lived a life of usefulness and honor.
