Owens - Mary King

Waveland Independent - Mrs. Mary J. Owens died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John Ammerman, near Alamo, Tuesday. She was born in Virginia in 1814 and was one of the early settlers of Montgomery County. She was buried at Freedom Cemetery on Wednesday. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. WT Cuppy.
Wife of Owen Owens (married 12 Oct 1837 Montgomery County) daughter of GB and Elizabeth Johnston King -- mother of Allen; Achsah and George; Martha; Elizabeth; Sarah J; Susan Catharine; Josephine and Nancy Owens.
