Waynetown -- Funeral services for Paul Owens, age 52, of Waynetown, who died Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the University Hospital in Chicago, were held Saturday afternoon, Feb. 9, at the Servies Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Ogier officiated. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Born Oct. 6, 1910, in Waynetown Mr. Owens was the son of Charles and Carrie Harvey Owens. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Mr. Owens graduated from Waynetown High School and attended Indiana University. He also completed extension work in visual education. Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Nellie Harvey of Waynetown; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

WAYNETOWN – Paul Owens, 52, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday in University Hospital al Chicago. He had been seriously ill a week. Born Oct. 6, 1910, in Waynetown, he was a son of Charles and Carrie Harvey Owens. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church and a 1928 graduate of Waynetown High School. He attended Indiana University and also did extension work in visual education. Surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Nellie Harvey of Waynetown, and four nephews. John Utterback of Indianapolis, Charles Utterback of Minnesota, Wayne Utterback of Madison, Wis., and Richard Owens of Minneapolis, Minn. Preceding Mr. Owens in death were a sister, Mrs. Lucy Utterback, and two brothers, Arnet and Harry Owens. Services are announced for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Servies Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Ogier officiating and interment in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Friday. – jlr

Waynetown - Funeral services for Paul Owen (sic) were held Saturday afternoon in the Servies Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Ogier, pastor of the Christian Church officiating. Mrs. Mary Mullen played organ music whic included requested numbers: Abide with Me, The Lord's Prayer and Face to Face.  Serving as pallbearers and also assisting with the flowers were nephews, Charles Utterback, Wayne Utterback, John Utterback and Richard Owen and Paul Harvey, Frank Harvey and Ralph M. Bounnell. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Mr. Owen was a former resident of Chicago. - kz
