Seits - Henry M.

Henry M. Seits was born in Ohio, December 25, 1827. On April 3, 1859 he was married to Lidia Andrews; to this union five children were born, of whom Mrs. John Alward is the only one living. It was during this time he was a member of the M.E. Church and also serving three years in behalf of his country. He was married to Rebecca Alward March 23, 1885 and to this union five children were born, of these, Albert Seits, Mrs. Harry Lamson, Mrs. Albert Elmore and Will Seits survive. At the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 29 days, he departed this life at the home of Mrs. Harry Lamson near Russellville, December 22, 1911. Besides the surviving children, he leaves a widow, a brother, two step-sons and five grandchildren to mourn his departure. He was a good husband, a kind and affectionate father and will be missed by all. The funeral was held at Union Church on Saturday conducted by Rev. Chas. Greenfield of the Baptist Church, after which the body was laid to rest in Union Cemetery. The family wish to thank the friend and neighbors for their sympathy and assistance. C.G.
