Waynetown, May 2 - John Small, one of the oldest resident citizens of Waynetown died at his home on east Main Street Thursday eveing after a short illness due to a complications of diseases. Mr. Small was born in october 1835 on a farm adjoining Waynetown and was the son of Nathan and Louisa Blackford Small and the last member of that family except a sister, Mrs. Louisa Williams of this place. His wife who was Miss Demas Burch, preceded him in death about 10 years ago.  Three daughters also preceded h8im into the great beyond: Verona, Lena and Augusta.  Uncle John was an honorable upright man, a truly good citizen and Christian gentleman. He united with the Christian Church a number of years ago under the pastorate of Rev. UC Brewer and was also true to his profession. He was be missed but by none so much as the daughter, Miss Effie who has been such a comfort to him in his declining years. Funeral announcement will be made later.
