July 25 -- Mrs. Minnie Gertrude Small, 57, widow of the late John W. SMall, Waynetown editor, died at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Petro, 215 Vance Street Tuesday morning at 4:45 o'clock. Death was due to complications and followed an illness of 8 months. Mrs. Small served as a printer and linotype operator for 32 years, working most of the time in the plant of the Waynetown Dispatch and Hillsboro Times located at Waynetown. The deceased was born in Crawfordsville Dec 28, 1875, the daughter of Henry G> and Mary M. Petro. She was married Sept 4, 1927 to John W. SMall, who for 37 years was the publisher of the Waynetown and Hillsboro newspapers, died three years ago.  The deceased was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. She was known for her cheerful disposition and leaves many friends both here and at Waynetown where she lived for many years. The survivors include the parents and three sisters, Miss Elmerta Petro at home; Mrs. Charles Correll of this city and Mrs. Fred Utterback of Waynetown. Private funeral services will be held at the home of the parents, 215 Vance, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may view the remains at the Petro home form 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon - kbz

For 32 years Mrs. Small was a printer and linotype operator in the Waynetown plant.  She was born in Crawfordsville, Dec 28 ,1875 and was married to Mr. Small Sept 4, 1927; Mr. Small, editor and publisher of the Waynetown and Hillsboro newspapers for 37 years, died three years ago. Surviving are the parents and three sisters including Mrs. Fred Utterback, Waynetown. Private funeral services will be held at the home of her parents, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  The body may be viewed at the Petro home before the hour of the funeral.
