Arlie Smith, son of Charles Smith died at his home at Deer's Mill Friday (Oct 15) night after an illness of two years with tuberculosis. He was born July 16, 1901 near Waveland. Most of his life has been spent at Deers Mill and Waynetown where he attended high school until his health failed. He is survived by his father, two brothers, Alva and Virgil his mother preceding him in death six years ago. Funeral services will be held at Alamo Christian Church at 2 o'clock by Rev. H. Davis. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. -- typed by kbz

Arlie Smith, son of Charles Smith died at Bluff Mills, Friday night of last week after being ill two years with tuberculosis. His mother died a few years ago of the same disease. She was one of the first patients treated at the Rockville sanitarium, and for some time improved under treatment. Funeral services at the Alamo Christian Church on Sunday were conducted by Rev.
