Wingate, Feb 2 – Mrs. Frances Emma Smith died at the home of her son, Earnest Smith at Wingate at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. She had been sick many years and death was hastened by tuberculosis. Mrs. Smith was born in Montgomery County in 1857. She was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Bagby. In 1874 she was married to George H. Smith. To this union were born six children. She is survived by Earl, Earnest and Winton of Wingate; Frank of Hoopeston, Ill and Mrs. Edit Cook of Medford, Okla. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church. The funeral will be held from the residence at 10:39 o’clock this morning Rev. WH Sando will officiate. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. - kbz
