Lapland Items -- Little Murel Smith, one of the twin boys of Lambert Smith, died last Tuesday night of diptheria. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.

The seven-year old son of Lambert Smith and wife, living south of the city, died Monday of diptheria. The funeral occurred Tuesday with the internment at the Masonic cemetery. The death was a peculiarly sad one, as the little lad was exceptionally bright and his sister had died but a few weeks before. The family has universal sympathy in its terrible bereavement. - thanks to Kim H for these two

Lambert Smith, of Lapland, has lost two children from diphtheria and has another child who is not expected to survive the attack.
