Simeon Smith died Monday morning at 8 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glassock, 707 S. Green street after an illness of only a few days. He was 74 years of age and his death was said to be due to heart trouble with other complications. Mr. Smith was formerly a Jamestown man and the remains will be buried there where they will be placed by the side of the wife who died several years ago. Mr. Smith was known extensively around Alamo where he was engaged in farming in recent years. - kbz
