JAMESTOWN – William F. Smith, 53, of Jamestown, died Friday at Lebanon. Mr. Smith was a printer employed by the McConnell Printing Co. Indianapolis. He formerly operated the Advance Press at Advance. He served in the Naval Air Corps. He was a member of the Advance Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and the Advance American Legion. Mr. Smith was born Sept. 19, 1922, at Advance to Earnest and Ella Oyler Smith. He was married to Betty Graves in 1948. He is deceased. Surviving are three children, Gary Allen of Mace, Kristy Smith of Jamestown and Mrs. Steve (Kathy) Phillips of Brownsburg; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Nichols of Advance; and three grandchildren. A brother, Charles, is deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Walker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. – jlr
