Carl J. Suiter, 72, of 710 E. Main St., died Wednesday evening in Community Hospital at Indianapolis, after a short illness. Mr. Suiter operated Suiter’s Heating Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was born Aug. 27, 1904, at Frenchburg, Ky., a son of Smith Henderson and Lucretta Armitage Suiter. He was married to Dorothy Custer in January 1928 at Crawfordsville. She died in 1968. Surviving are three sons, James H. of Crawfordsville, Ronald L. of Indianapolis and Dale L. of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Carlin) Bradley of Ladoga and Mrs. Roger (Marilyn) Bowes of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Keck of Indianapolis, and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Burkhart Funeral Home. The Rev. Leland Brett will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. – jlr
