Her maiden name was Irwin. She was born in NC Feb 19, 1835, and died Dec 13, 1906. She was married to David Sullivan Nov 6, 1853 and to them were born 3 children, two sons and a daughter. One son died in infancy and the other died at age 16. The daughter is the only surviving one. She also gave a mother's care to her niece, who was left an orphan at an early age. Mrs. Sullivan united with the Presbyterian Church at Bethany in 1875. Her husband died Nov 26, 1894.
