WAYNETOWN — Chesly Utterback, 83, died at 10 p.m. Friday in a Memphis, Tenn., hospital. He had been in failing health several years and was seriously ill for one week. He was born in the Elmdale Community to John T. and Amelia Widener Utterback. He was married to Maggie Henderson of Waynetown. They had lived in Memphis for several years. He was a retired contractor. Mr. Utterback is survived by his wife, five children and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Waye of Lafayette and Mrs. Bessie Merrell of near Crawfordsville. There are several nieces and nephews in the area. Funeral and burial were at Memphis Sunday.
