Katie B. Utterback, 81, of 510 Hubbard St., died Sunday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Utterback was the last charter member of the Crawfordsville VFW Auxiliary. She was born at Hope, June 2, 1895, to Mr. and Mrs. George Barnhart. She was married to Hursel Utterback on Nov. 8, 1919. He died in 1970. She is survived by a son, Richard Deckard of Lakeside, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
