Vance - James - 1902 (Rev)

Miss Dora Vance received Friday the sad news of the death of her uncle, Rev. James E. Vance of Lucca, ND. He was the eldest son of William Vance. Three brothers and two sisters survive him out of eleven children. In his early manhood he was a resident of this state, graduated from Wabash College in 1848 was pastor for years in the Presbyterian Church until in the past two or three years his failing health compelled him to retire from the ministry. His wife, a sister of Rev. M.L. Haines, of Indianapolis died a few years ago. He was eighty years old. - kbz
