Funeral services will be held at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home at one o'clock, Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Clara VanCleave, of Crawfordsville widow of Henry D. VanCleave who died Monday night at an Indianapolis hospital, Mrs. VanCleave was a life long resident of Crawfordsville. The only survivor is Benjamin Bailey of Missoula, Montana, a nephew. Mrs. VanCleave was the last survivor in a family of 5 children. A sister, Miss Mary Emma Bailey, employed for many years with the Louis Bischof Dept. store here died August 1917. Another sister, Miss Nina Bailey also died a number of years ago. Her two brothers are deceased. Mr. VanCleave, died about 13 years ago. He was for many years prominent as an attorney here. From 1910 until 1929, Mr. VanCleave was in partnership with Arthur McGaughey, attorney here in the practice of law under the firm name of VanCleave & McGaughey. Mrs. Vancleave was a member of the 1st Church of Christ Scientist in Crawfordsville. At the funeral service here Forrest E. Grimes will be the reader. Burial in Oak Hill. - kbz
