A pioneer of the county passed away yesterday morning in the person of David VanCleave, who died at his home, 8 miles south of the city, in the 60th year of his age. Mr. VanCleave was an early settler in this county and leaves three children. The funeral will occur this morning at 9 o’clock. Interment will be at the old Union Church. -s

David Vancleave, one of Montgomery County’s venerable and respect pioneers, died last Friday at his home 8 miles south of the city at the age of 60 years. The funeral was conducted last Sunday morning, Rev. JJ Canine officiating. The interment took place at Old Union Church.
