Vancleave - Lennie Russell

Lennie Russell, second son of John R. and Etta Vancleave was born March 13, 1897. Departed this life Feb 2, 1903, aged 3 years, 10 months 19 days. He was a bright promising flower, just unfolding but before we are aware, the beckoning hand of God is outstretched to him and the call is given. "Come unto me, and I will give you rest." He goes to join his father and two brothers who were called before. Lennie will be sadly missed in the family circle for he always had a cheerful word and a bright smile. It is a sad but beautiful picture presented to us, as we see him sleeping amid the flowers he loved so well. But while our hearts are filled to overflowing, we bow in humble submission to our Lord and Say "Thy Will Be Done." He leaves a mother, two half brothers and one half sister beside many relatives and friends to mourn his loss. "M"

Lenna Russell VanCleave the youngest son of John R. and Etta VanCleave, was born March 13, 1898 and died February 2, 1903. His age was four years, 10 months and 20 days. Death was caused by membraneous croup. Lenna was a bright little boy in his home and was loved by all who knew him. He was a shining star, the pride of his friends, but now he is gone and we must not weep for he is watched over by a loving father. They are ready to clasp little Lenna by the hand and welcome him with them It will be a joy our meeting never to part again.
