Wingate -- Leslie C. Van Cleave, 82, of Detroit, Mich., a former resident of Wingate, died Sunday morning at Detroit. He had been in failing health. Born Aug. 16, 1894, he was a son of James and Maggie Bowers van Cleave. Surviving are the widow, Stella; two daughters, Gloria and Margie of Detroit and a half sister, Lodema Moorehouse of Lafayette. Services were conducted today in Detroit. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wingate - kbz
