Vancleave - Maggie Bowers

Again God in his infinite power has seen fit to take from this world of sorrow and suffering, one who was very dear to us. Our loving companion and mother has gone and left us very sad and lonely. Maggie May, 2nd daughter of Cyrus and Mollie Bowers, was born Oct 29, 1875 and departed this life March 7, 1902 age 25 years, 4 months 8 days. She was united in marriage to James Vancleave Nov 19, 1893 to whom were born two children, Leslie and Opal. She united with the Liberty Christian Church Jan 8,, 1899 and was baptized June 10, 1899 and was still living in the same faith at the time of her death. She never grew tired of doing her work for the Lord as reading His word. She was a loving companion, a devoted mother and a kind daughter and good neighbor to all. Maggie's suffering covered a period of 4 of 5 years, but she bore her troubles bravely and said if it was the Lord's will it was all right. She will be greatly missed in the community; her husband loses a faithful companion, the little children a good mother and her neighbors a good friend. While she leaves us with sad hearts, she goes to join the happy throng above; nevermore to be disturbed by suffering. We think it can only be said that our dear companion and mother was a true Christian and she has certainly received a crown at the right hand of her Svior, and is now with loved ones that have gone before. She leaves father, mother, husband, two children, one sister and four brothers, besides a host of friends to mourn their loss. She will be missed by all. - kbz
