Mrs. Helen L. VanDyke, 80, of 409 S. Washington street died at 7:13 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital. Born in February of 1890 near Linden, she was the daughter of Wallace and Anna Divine Montgomery. She was married Jan 20, 1924, to Charles F. VanDyke, who preceded her in death in August of 1950. A past president of Modern Athenae, she was also a member of the Linden OES and attended Linden schools. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Louise A. Cefali, Hobart; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Frank Van Kyke (sic Van Dyke?) and two brothers, Isaac and Chase Montgomery, Los Angeles. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. LK Wickett officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. The Eastern Star will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Menorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund. - typed by Walt W.
