Ladoga - George William VanHook, 55, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in his home here after six-month illness. Mr. VanHook was member of the Thorntown United Methodist Church. He was a farmer most of his life. A native of New Richmond, he was born Sept 10, 1914 a son of James T. and Jessie Kirkpatrick VanHook. He was married at Lafayette Feb 12, 1943 to Marie M. McFarland. Surviving are his widow; his father of Browns Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Jonne McIntyre of Waldron, Mrs. Debra Kessler of Colorado Springs and Tamara at home; a sister, Mrs. Willmet Bradbury of Lafayette and 3 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Gephart Funeral Home here with Rev. Paul McFarland of Lebanon officiating. Interment will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
