Vaught - Ava Malden

Miss Ruth VAUGHT, of Deland, Fla has received word of the death of her sister, Ava Malden Vaught which occurred at Pasadena, California. Miss Vaught served for a number of years as Superintendent of the Children's Home in Paris, Ill and later of Cunningham Home at Urbana, ill. She also held the office of financial secretary of the Woman's Home Missionary Society of the Rock River and Illinois Conferences of the Methodist Church. In 1930, an accident left her a helpless cripple, although she accomplished a considerable amount of work for the Society from an invalid's chair. The last years of her life were spent at Robincraft Home, Pasadena, for retired Missionary workers. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. George Cliff. She was laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery, Pasadena. - kbz
