Ernest Voliva, 82, a farmer all of his life and a resident of the Hillsboro community for the past 25 years, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Culver Hospital. He had been ill 12 days. Mr. Voliva was born Nov. 27, 1882 at Newtown, the son of John David Voliva and Elizabeth Ogle Voliva. He resided at Bloomington, Ind., for 41 years prior to moving to Hillsboro in 1940. Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a brother, Harold of Bloomington; five sons, Dick of New Brunswick, N.J., Tom of Bradenton, Fla., Harry of Crawfordsville, Bill of Solsberry, Ind., and Clarence of McAllen, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Black of Security, Colo.; 25 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. One son preceded Mr. Voliva in death. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greene and Harrell Funeral Home at Bloomington. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery south of Bloomington.
