GILL REUNION

The Gill family have been having a grand time for the last week. They had a reunion of the sons and daughters of S.C. Gill, deceased of Gill's Mills, KY and their descendants, at JP Hymers last Friday which was highly interesting and entertaining. SC Gill had born to him 13 children, 9 of whom are living and were all present at this reunion, for the first time for over 40 years. A fine dinner was prepared by the kindred and friends and served in a most beautiful grove on the farm of Mr. Hymer who married Eliza Gill. Excellent music was executed by the Ladoga band. Addresses by John Billingsley of Indianapolis and Frank Gill of New Ross. Hon. HIggins Lane of Putnam County was present to greet the old family with whom he was well acquained in KY. There was a grand ball at night at the new hall in town. More anon. Alpha.
