(c) 2001 Barb Wise (wisebarb@home.com) EXHIBIT "G" DEPOSITION TAKEN BEFORE A FIELD EXAMINER OF THE VETERANS AMDINISTRATION DATE: 17 MARCH 1954 DEPOSED BY: A. W. HENDRICKS PERSON DEPOSED: HOWARD R. LAMBDIN Howard R. LAMBDIN: I am white, male, age 45, married, have one child, reside at R. R. 1, Paoli, Ind., occupation farmer and mechanic. I am not related to any of the parties and have no interest in the outcome of this case. Q: Do you know James DAVIS, and Inice Belle HOLLEN? A: Yes. Q: Do you recall when they moved in your neighborhood? A: Yes, it was awhile before I was married in 1934. They lived about 1 3/4 miles from my father's farm. Q: Did DAVIS support his family? A: Yes, I guess he did. Anyway I used to see him in groceries at Ethel, at Fargo, and up at Paoli. Sometimes his wife, some of the children or Woodrow would be with him. I have seen him carrying groceries home on his back, then and later. Q: Did he ever work for you, or did Woodrow ever work for you? A: Neither worked for me. Jim DAVIS worked for my father, with whom I lived then. He would come whenever we needed him, and whenever he hadn't promised someone else. He never turned him down if he was not already promised. Q: Did Woodrow live as one of the family, at home? A: I don't know that; I believe it, however, because he was around here so much, in the community, when he was younger. Q: Did you ever observe the relationship between the stepfather and Woodrow? A: No, I was never around him that much. Q: Did the mother ever work away from home? A: Not that I know of. Q: How much of the time was Woodrow away working, if he was? A: As I said, he was around home a lot in his younger years. I don't know how long he worked later on; I wasn't that close to them. Q: I have no further questions. Do you have anything to add? A: No. I certify that I have read the foregoing and my statements are true, to the best of my knowledge and belief. /signature of Howard R.
