Davis death. Can't understand why we haven't heard from you. According to the writing [sic] you sent. When Mr Davis passed away if his wife was still living, she would get pension the amount he would get until death. Now according to law this would mean the wife he was living with at death. Now please answer this letter if this isn't correct. You will hear from a person who has been in service and was the one who helped James F. Davis when Mrs. Inice Belle Hollen was getting it all to her credit. This is a veteran. He's living here now But he said Mr Davis widow failed to get it, to let him know. Mr Davis widow's name is Goldia and she isn't 60 yet only 58 years of age. But Mr. Davis passed away assured she would get a check each mo. from you. Now please if at all possible [sic] let us hear from you. She needs help badly. Written by a neighbor who is interested in this case. Thanks, Mrs. Goldia Davis 319 Horton Hill Paoli Ind. That is how come I am writing like I am. I went beyond my means to help them out. If you come there's plenty proof. Thanks again, [signature] (Mrs. Marie Nicholson) 323 Horton Hill Paoli, Ind.
