World War II Veteran.Entered service on 4 August 1944 at Indianapolis,Indiana.Served with the 96th Infantry Division "Deadeyes" 383rd Infantry Regiment Company K.Trained at Fort Hood,Texas.Killed in Action 4 April 1945 on Okinawa in the Pacific Theater of Operation.Awards include Purple Heart Medal [posthumous],American Theater Campaign Medal,Asia Pacific Medal and Presidential Unit Citation for extra ordinary Heroism and Gallantry in action against the enemy in the conquest of Okinawa.
