IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL PACIFIC FROM 12 FEBRUARY 1944 TO NOVEMBER 1945. ON GUN FIRE SUPPORT, ANTISUBMARINE PATROL AND ESCORT DUTY. ON 12 NOVEMBER 1944 SANK A JAPANESE SUBMARINE I-88. AUGUST 1945 ORDERED TO TOKYO BAY FOR THE SURRENDER OF JAPAN. RATING OF SEAMAN FIRST CLASS.
