SANK BY A MINE OFF THE COAST OF NORMANDY. 10 JANUARY 1945 REPORTED ABOARD THE USS CLYTIE AS-26, A AEGIR CLASS SUBMARINE TENDER. 21 FEBRUARY 1945 SAILED FROM NEW LONDON TO BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA. 17 OCTOBER 1945 RETURNED TO NEW LONDON. RATING OF SIGNALMAN SECOND CLASS PETTY OFFICER.
