Served
in World War II and the Korean War. World War II service with the 38th Infantry
Division 151st Infantry Regiment in the Pacific Theater. Among the first wave to
return to Bataan, Philippines. Received battle field commission to Second
Lieutenant on 12 May 1945. Korean War service with the 1st Calvary Division 7th
Calvary Regiment from October 1950 to September 1951.Retired from the US Army
reserve in 1959 with rank of Captain.
