SAILED ON 22 NOVEMBER 1943 FROM PORT HUENEME, CALIFORNIA WITH CONSTRUCTION BATTALION AND CARGO. ARRIVED AT PEARL HARBOR ON 2 DECEMBER 1942, SAILED FOR THE MARSHALL AND GILBERT ISLANDS. FEBRUARY 1944 AT THE INVASION OF THE MARIANA ISLANDS. JULY 1944 LANDED REINFORCEMENTS ON SAIPAN. JANUARY 1945 CARRIED TROOPS TO ULITHI STAGING POINT FOR OKINAWA. EARNED THREE BATTLE STARS FOR WWII SERVICE. RATING OF FIREMAN FIRST CLASS.
