Enlisted on 22 October 1942 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Served in the Pacific Theater of Operation with the 6th Army,13th Armored Group, 44th Tank Battalion Headquarters Company. First Tank Battalion in the Southwest Pacific. Departed San Francisco on October 21, 1944. Arrived New Guinea November 12,1944. Landed Philippines January 1 1945.Earned four Battle Stars for New Guinea, The Bismarck Archipelago, Southern Philippines and Northern Philippines. Bronze Arrowhead for beachheads on Leyte and Luzon. Discharged on January 2 1946.
