Enlisted on 12 October 1943 at Louisville, Kentucky. Served with the 379th Infantry Regiment, 95th Infantry Division "Victory Division", US Ninth Army,12th Army Group. Liberated 4,500 French Officer and Enlisted men from a camp at Werl, Germany on 7 April 1945. Died of wounds on 13 April 1945 near Dortmund, Germany on the North bank of the Ruhr River.
