Enlisted on 26 October 1939. Served with the 6th Armored Division Trains Division as a Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant in the European Theater. Awarded the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry in action in the vicinity of Avranches, France on 1 August 1944. At Plouview, France on 8 August 1944 he made vigorous mounted and dismounted reconnaissance against enemy sniper and machine gun fire. Awarded The Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service against the enemy of the United States in Avranches, Plouview, France and Bastogne, Belgium. He is buried at Fort Gibson National Cemetery Muskogee, Oklahoma.
