Enlisted 27 May 1943. Discharged 17 October 1945. Served with the 9th Armored Division "The Phantom Division" 19th Tank Battalion. Arrived in the European Theater aboard the Queen Mary on 27 August 1944 at Greenock, Scotland. Landed in France October 1944. Campaigns were the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. Award include The Purple Heart for wounds received in action.
