World War II Veteran. Entered service on 7 April 1942 at Dallas, Texas. Trained Kelly Field, Texas Colman, Texas San Angelo, Texas Pocatello, Idaho Casper, Wyoming Watertown, South Dakota Lincoln, Nebraska. Departed for overseas duty 30 November 1943 Served in the Mediterranean Theater. Received his wings and commission at Eagle Pass,Texas.Pilot of B-24 Liberator " Hamer's Happy Hobos"Flew 36 missions with the 15th Air Force 451st Bomb Group,725th Bomb Squadron out of Castelluccio Air Field, Italy. Killed in action over Wiener Neustadt, Austria on 10 May 1944. He was on his 36th mission.
