Enlisted on 23 October 1943 at Indianapolis, Indiana. Served with the 91st Chemical Mortar Battalion 3rd US Army XII Corps in the European Theater. Trained at Camp Robinson, Arkansas and Camp Swift, Texas. Landed in France on 21 October 1944. Award include The Purple Heart Medal.
