Moses and Vories Speer came from Kentucky in 1820. They had 11 children, the oldest of whom was Asbury, born June 20, 1808 in Kentucky. Ann Speer died in 1887 and is buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.The Lost River Chapter of the DAR recorded 10 graves in the 1940's, and noted that there were unmarked graves.
