Jackson Township. Section 13, T1S R2W. Used Occasionally.

Painter's Creek Church of Christ is said to have been constituted as early as 1840. It was never a strong church and is no longer active. The church building, adjacent to cemetery, was erected about 1879. The cemetery does not have regular care. The grave of a Lankford child who died in 1881, has the oldest marked stone. There are several unmarked graves.
