Cyrus Newton & MaryAnn Trotter

Cyrus Newton Trotter was the sixth child of John R. Trotter and Sarah Ramsey Trotter.
He was born April 8, 1819 in Virginia and died August 27, 1884 near Hardinsburg, Indiana in the home of his sister-in-law n-law, Dorcas Marshall Trotter, the wife of his brother, William. He had been threshing near there, became ill, and was unable to return home. He died of pneumonia . He owned and operated a threshing rig.
He had come to Indiana with his mother about 1833, following the death of his father in Virgina.
On February 4 , 1846, he married Mary A, Marshall , the daughter of James & Cathrine Colwell Marshall. She was born July 3, 1823 and died November 16, 1892 at the age of 69. She died in the home of her son, John E, Trotter, near Chambersburg . She was a sister of Dorcas Marshall , who married Cyrus' brother William.
Cyrus and his wife are buried in the Walton Cemetery near Hardinsburg,
