FIRST GENERATION

He played on his High School basketball team. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Jewel Tea Company for 37 years. He lived most of adult life in Dayton, Ohio. He retired and moved to Longwood, Florida in spring of 1977. He died on 1/22/1986 after a three month illness, all of which he was confined to the hospital. he was member of Corinth Presbyterian Church (Dayton, Ohio) and St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Altamonte Springs Florida.

SECOND GENERATION

2. Ottis (Ottie) Marion HAMMOND was born on 22 Nov 1878 in Orange County, Indiana. He died on 11 Jun 1924 in Orange County, Indiana. He was buried in Lick Creek Cemetery, Orange County, Indiana.1 He was adopted. He was buried on 11 Dec 1932 in Paoli Community Cemetery, Orange County, Indiana. **He lived most of his life in Greenfield Township, Orange County, Indiana, near Young's Creek Indiana. He united with Young's Creek Baptist Church, 7/7/1895, pastor Elder J.L. Noblitt. His funeral services were conducted by Elder William C. Hancock, at the Church of Christ in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana. TThe marriage certificate shows Elder L.H. Robertson conducted marriage service.
