Edward Moore to William Wolfington Deed

This Indenture made this second day of August One thousand Eight hundred and thirty three between Edward Moore and Phereby his wife both of the County of Orange and State of Indiana of the one part and William Wolfington of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth first the said Edward Moore and Pharebee his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid by the said Wm. Wolfington the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth Grant Bargain and Sell unto the said Wm. Wolfington his heirs assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of land situated Lying and being in the County of Orange and State of Indiana

Known as the West half of the South East quarter of section Number Nineteen Township One North of Range One West in the District of Lands office for sale at Vincennes To Have and to Hold the above directed premises together with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto unto the said Wm. Wolfington his heirs and assigns forever to his and thus their only Proper use benefit and behoof and that they the said Edward Moore and Pharaba his wife will and their heirs assigns Executors and Administrators Shall Warrant and forever defend the above described premises Against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons Whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same and they the said Edward Moore and Phariba his wife doth covenant and agree to and with the said Wm. Wolfington that the above described premises Now is and forever shall be and remain free from any and all right and title of dower.

This day personally appeared Edward Moore and Phareby his wife of the State and County aforesaid the signers to the within deed and acknowledged the same to be their own act and deed the Said Phariby being examined separate and apart from her husband acknowledged (p. 62) The same to be her own free will and without ... fear or con... of her husband this the Second day of August 1833
