Wright — Moody

From the records of the Lost River DAR

Orleans Township Section 31, T3N R1E. Obliterated.

East of Orleans, on the Liberty road which was a pioneer trail, was a group of graves where Wrights and Moodys were buried on what was once the William Wright farm. Jonathan Wright, soldier of the War of 1812 and son of a soldier of the American Revolution, came to Indiana from Kentucky in 1816. William, born in Kentucky in 1802, was his son. William married Nancy Keedy in 1823. His second wife was Elizabeth Moody. The Wright burials were moved to Liberty Cemetery. Three Moody markers were found and there are said to have been others.
